Tanasi Lodge

"Tanasi," the Cherokee word believed to be the origin of "Tennessee," means "the gathering place." True to its name, this 7,500 sq ft lodge was built for family reunions, corporate retreats, weddings and big group getaways. Three spacious levels, nearly 360-degree views of Wears Valley, and both sunrise and sunset from the property.

UPPER LEVEL (THIRD FLOOR)

• 4 king bedrooms sharing 2 Jack-and-Jill bathrooms with jetted tubs (each bath serves two bedrooms)
• The dreamcatcher bedroom: a king with floor-to-ceiling windows and astounding mountain views
• Floor-to-ceiling windows across the level, with Chilhowee Mountain and sunset views
• Landing sitting area and an expansive balcony with lounge seating, plus a queen sleeper sofa

MAIN LEVEL (SECOND FLOOR)

• 4 king suites, each with its own private bathroom with jetted tub
• Suites look out to Mt. Le Conte, Cove Mountain or the sunset over Chilhowee Mountain, several with balcony doors
• Great room with a stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace, Roku TV and mountain views front and back
• Fully equipped gourmet kitchen with granite counters, a big island, separate bar sink and ice maker
• Dining for 16 (12 at the table plus 4 at the island)

• Private movie theater: 13 seats under a starry-sky ceiling. Movie tickets free for guests.

• Free access to the Honeysuckle Meadows community pool (seasonal, about 2 miles away)

SLEEPING: 10 bedrooms (8 kings, 1 queen, 1 bunk room), 2 queen sleeper sofas and 8 full bathrooms for up to 30 guests.

WEDDINGS & EVENTS

Say "I do" with the Smoky Mountains as your backdrop. Tanasi hosts ceremonies and receptions with seating for up to 75 guests, with porches for portraits, a Great Room for long family-style dinners and a gourmet kitchen with room for your caterer. You bring the decorations and catering; we provide the mountaintop setting. Event parking fits 10 to 15 cars depending on vehicle size. Weddings and events are welcome; a $1,500 event fee is added to the reservation.

ALL YEAR

Oversized Christmas trees at Christmastime and fall decor for Thanksgiving. Ski and snow tube at Ober Mountain in winter, hike and fish in spring, go tubing in Townsend in summer and chase fall color in autumn.

LOCATION

Perched atop Hatcher Mountain in Wears Valley (Sevierville), about 7 miles to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Townsend, and 3 miles to the quiet back entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Dollywood, Splash Country, shopping and dining are minutes away.
